Barbara P. (Kunau) Patmon

Barbara P. (Kunau) Patmon, 79, of Goodland passed away, December 29, 2017, at Via Christi Saint Francis in Wichita, Kansas.  She was born March 11, 1938 to Harry Kunau and Bernice Chapman in Joplin, Missouri.  Barbara grew up in Joplin, MO and came to Goodland in 1962.  On July 3, 1969 she married Lawrence Patmon in Goodland, Kansas. 

Barbara was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Goodland.  She enjoyed reading, sitting on her front porch, going on a drive, and loved talking and visiting with her family. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Ed Williams.  

She is survived by her husband Lawrence Patmon; son, Ben and Angie Williams of Plains, KS; daughter, Rebecca Rubio of Wichita, KS; daughter, Terry and Keith Rosin of Sharon Springs, KS.  Grandchildren: Manuel and Suelane Rubio of Wichita, KS; Vincent Rubio of Wichita, KS; Nicholas and Kelli Rubio of Andover, KS; Kristofer Rubio of Colorado Springs, CO; Megan Rubio of Lawrence, KS; James and Jackie Winder of Oberlin, KS; Eric and Rebecca Winder of North Platte, NE; Amanda Williams of Lawrence, KS; Sarah and Nicholas Gilmore of Liberal, KS; Alyce Williams and Sheldon of Plains, KS; and 16 great grandchildren. 

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. MT, Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1160 Cattletrail in Goodland, with Pastor Carl Goff officiating, interment following funeral service in the Goodland Cemetery.  Because of Barbara’s love for animals the memorials will be designated to the Northwest Kansas Animal Shelter may be left at the service or mailed to Bateman Funeral Home, P.O.
