Alma Faye Whitson passed away July 11th 2020 at Topside Manor in Goodland at the age of 87. She moved to Goodland from Nickerson, KS in 2010.
She was born August 26, 1932 in Elk City, KS to Harvey Conrad Godsey and Julia Alma (Hawk) Godsey.
She married Clarence E. Whitson on April 8, 1949 in Bartlesville, OK. They had three sons, Eldon, Doug, and Rick.
After her children were older she worked as an accountant for an auditing firm for Kansas Co-ops until she retired in 1999.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Whitson, two sons, Eldon E. Whitson Goodland and Rick L. Whitson Bennett, NE.
Faye is survived by son Doug Whitson and wife Pam (Cecil) Whitson, Goodland, KS, daughter-in-law Tammi Kemper-Whitson, Bennett, NE, five Grandchildren (Jill, Jason, Jennifer, Connie and Cody), and two Great Grandchildren (Keonnie and Cash).
There will be grave side services for Faye in Elk City, KS, date to be determined later.
