Bill E. Daise

Bill E. Daise, age 93, lifelong Goodland resident, died Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Center in Goodland.  He was born on February 8, 1924 to John Walter and Edna (Harding) Daise in Ruleton, Kansas.

On December 15, 1946, he married Mary A. (Adams) Daise at the Christian Church in Goodland.

Mr. Daise was in WWII and served in the Philippines from 1944 to 1946, he was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 1528, VFW Post 113 and the First Christian Church all of Goodland.

He enjoyed watching and attending sports of any kind, he especially enjoyed baseball.

Surviving include his wife; children Curtis (Kelly) of Denver, CO; Terry (Cara) of Goodland, KS; Dennis (Karen) of Goodland, KS; Keith (Amy) of Cumming, GA; sister Wilma Davis of Hoisington, KS; Brother John Walter of Seattle, WA; sister Donna (Dick) Murray of Palmer Lake, CO; five grandchildren Travis (Melanie) Daise of Goodland, KS; Chealyn (Daniel) Long of Centennial, CO; Brett and Matthew Daise of Cumming, GA and Micah Daise of Goodland, KS; and five great-grandchildren, Jackson and Allison Daise of Goodland, KS; Lauryn, Alexander, Andrew Long of  Centennial, CO.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother Paul and his wife Anna Marie; and his brother Maurice and wife Irene.

Funeral service will be Friday, April 14, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. MT at the First Christian Church at 8th and Arcade, Goodland with Pastor Doug Amend officiating.  Burial will follow in the Goodland Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 3 to 6 p.m. MT at Bateman Funeral Home, 211 East 11th Street in Goodland.

Memorials can be designated to the First Christian Church of Goodland, the Goodland Senior Center or Hospice Services Incorporated and may be left at the service or mailed to Bateman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 278, Goodland, KS  67735.
