Billy Joe Archer

Billy Joe Archer, 85, passed away peacefully, Tuesday morning, December 27, 2016 at the Goodland Regional Medical Center in Goodland, after all of his family had been with him on Christmas. He was born January 4, 1931 in Sulfer Springs, Texas, the son of Garey and Ollie Archer.  Billy served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, he worked as a Technician for NASA at Cape Canaveral and then worked for many years as an electrician until he retired.  Billy was also a lifetime memeber of the VFW.

Survivors include his wife Janis of 64 years, son Mike and his wife Phyllis of Sublette, Kansas; daughter Lisa and husband Jeff McNeely and their daughter Dani of Goodland; sister Carolyn husband Jay Herren of McPherson, Kansas; brother Ralph wife Coleen Sales of Topeka, Kansas; brother Harold wife Martha Sales of Moundridge, Kansas; and 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his father Garey, mother Ollie, and his step- father Vance Sales; sisters Janet, Gert, and Omega; daughter Shelley; great grandson Gannon.
