Colleen (Dickinson) Powell-Shank

Colleen F. Powell-Shank, 86, of Great Bend, Kansas, died September 25, 2016.  She was born March 30, 1930 to William A. and Eunice M. (Ruddell) Dickinson of Burlington, Colorado.   Colleen was a long time resident of Burlington where her family owned and operated Dickinson Store until 1981.  Survivors include her children, Connie Shomaker, Lawrence, KS; David D. Powell, Great Bend, KS; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her son, Phillip E. Powell; Brother, Bill Dickinson; first husband, Harold Powell; and her second husband, Harold Shank.  Cremation has taken place.  Graveside service will be Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. MT at Burlington, Colorado, Larry Schumacher officiating.  Memorials may be sent to the family at Bateman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 278, Goodland, KS  67735 and will be designated by family at a later date.
