Darrell Everett Melstrom

Darrell Everett Melstrom, age 75, of Goodland passed away Monday, October 6, 2025 at Goodland Regional Medical Center. Darrell was born February 25, 1950 to Glen Everett and Dorothy Evelyn (White) Melstrom in Goodland, he grew up and went to school in Goodland. On December 16, 1978 he married Jayne Sackett in Thornton, Colorado.

Darrell worked as a custodian for USD 352 for many years, he enjoyed working in the yard, building and restoring his 1938 John Deere tractor and most of all spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Gregory and grandson Bryan. Darrell is survived by his wife Jayne, daughter Crystal (Mario) Hernandez and son Dwight Melstrom of Goodland; grandchildren Marco and Erica Hernandez and Faith Melstrom; great grandchildren Zowie, Xavier and Tarrence; sister Deanna Bontrager of Lakin, Kansas; and many more family members and friends.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 11 a.m. MT at the Goodland Bible Church, 109 Willow Road in Goodland.
