Doris E. Raile

Doris E. Raile, 81, of Goodland, Kansas died Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the Good Samaritan.  She was born in Cheyenne County, July 28, 1935 to George and Monta Neville.  She was previously married to John Raile in 1953 and moved to Edson, Kansas where they operated a farm and raised 3 children.

For many years Doris was a 4-H leader of the Edson Trail Blazers and owned and operated Doris’ Ceramic DEN.  In  1982, she moved to Goodland and worked at Wane’s Carpet and Drapery, Northern Sun, and the Sherman County Court House until she retired in 2011.

Survivors include her brother Lyle (Bonnie) Neville of Chandler, Arizona; children Richard (Katheryn) Raile of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Brenda (Bill) Spring of Celina, Texas; and Rhonda (Timothy) Schroeder of Woodward, Oklahoma.  Her grandchildren include Brittany Schroeder; Teagan, Taylor, Karlee Raile; and Brooklynn (Spring) Cardwell.  Her great grandchildren are Kolton, Tatum, Addison, and Tara and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Wayne and Paul Neville, and sister Kathryn Bunjes; daughter-in-law Tawnja Raile; and granddaughter Taryn Raile.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Bateman Funeral Home, 211 East 11th Street, Goodland, Kansas, with burial to follow in the Goodland Cemetery.
