Frances Elizabeth (Wilson) Peter-Anderson, age 102, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017, in Longmont, Colorado. She was born June 17, 1915, to Roy and Nellie (Bernard) Wilson in Phillipsburg, Kansas.
Frances grew up in Cheyenne County Kansas and went to high school at Saint Francis Community High School and graduated in 1933. On January 14, 1936, Frances married Harry Peter in Goodland, Kansas. Later she married Theodore Anderson on November 2, 1985.
Throughout the years she worked as a farm wife, a Shaklee Distributor, when Frances moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1961 she worked as an office manager for Dr.'s Brown and Evans, then returned to Goodland in 1988 and during that time she was a greeter at Walmart, in 2011 she decided to return to Colorado. She was a member of the Goodland Bible Church and always took great pride in being involved in her community church, she also always enjoyed reading, several trips to the mountains, playing games and dearly loved spending time with her friends and family.
Frances is survived by her son Don Peter of Longmont, CO; daughter Mary Wickwar of Goodland, KS; and daughter Kay Perry of Longmont, CO; her sisters Vivian McDunn of Nevis, MN; Fern Hawks of Goodland, KS; Esther Elliott of Edson, KS; Norie Elliott of Edson, KS; Ralph Wilson of Ruleton, KS; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husbands, son Dean Peter, daughter Betty Cress, siblings Oren Wilson, Edna Mae Altman, Gip Wilson, Jr. Wilson and infant brother Ellis Wilson.
A memorial service will be Thursday, August 24, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. MDT at the Goodland Bible Church, 109 Willow Road officiating will be by her grandson Pastor Tim Cress and Pastor Tim Bonebright. A private interment will be at a later date. A memorial will be designated by the family later and may be left at the service or mailed to Bateman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 278, Goodland, KS 67735.
