James (Jim) Michael Miller

James “Jim” Michael Miller had his life taken from him Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in Lakewood, CO.  He was only 46 years old.

Jim was born March 16, 1970, in Goodland, KS.  During his years in Goodland High School, he spent most of his time hanging out with friends, driving fast and dominating opponents on the wrestling mat.  He graduated in 1988 and a year later his daughter was born.  Soon after, he enlisted in the Army as a Calvary Scout.  He was deployed to Germany.  Upon his return to the States, he was stationed in Fort Knox, KY.

Jimmy enjoyed hunting, drawing, tattooing and most of all he enjoyed fishing.  He was happiest when he was fishing, most would say he was born with a fishing pole in his hand.

James was preceded in death by his precious daughter, Shi Anne; mother Kathy; Aunt Connie; paternal grandparents Alexander and Della; and maternal grandfather Melvin.

He is survived by and will forever be remembered by his father Alex “Chip” Miller of Wilburton, OK; daughters Keeley Miller of Jamestown, KS and Chloe Miller of Brandenburg, KY; son Alex “AJ” Miller of Bradenburg, KY; step-children Mario Tafoya of Orlando, FL and Nikki Tafoya of Lancaster, KY; sister and brother-in-law Jodi and Kevin Browne of McAlester, OK; 5 grandchildren Aiden, Kynan, Hallie, Jade and Delilah; nephews Cole and Gage; and niece Piper.  He is also remembered by several cousins, including close cousin Shane Miller.

A memorial service will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. MT at the Calvary Gospel Church in Goodland.  Burial will follow in the Goodland Cemetery where he will be buried next to his mother.
