Judith Lorraine Shockey, age 87, born on July 8, 1938, in North Dakota, peacefully departed this life on March 6, 2026, in Goodland. Judith made significant contributions to the field of data processing, particularly serving various school districts in California and Colorado, where her expertise and commitment were highly valued.She was a graduate of New Rockford High School in North Dakota. On December 26, 1959 Judith married George F. Shockey II in Aurora, Colorado. Throughout her life, she enjoyed reading, traveling, and cherishing moments spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, George F. III (Wynona) of Goodland, KS, and Larry A. (Rena) of Columbia Falls, MT; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Judith also leaves behind her sister, Benita Vaugatc of Batavia, IL, and her brother, Otto (Judy) Josund of Clinton, IA.
Judith is preceded in death by her husband, George F. Shockey II, and her sister, Carol Spitzer. Their memories are forever cherished by those who knew and loved her.
Judith’s life was marked not only by her professional achievements but also by her relationships and the joy she derived from the company of her loved ones. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, her unwavering dedication to her work, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
