Lucy Joyce Owens

Lucy Joyce Owens, age 93, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Hope Springs in Sharon Springs. She was born December 12, 1930 to Eli and Mable (Cambridge) Owens in Goodland, Kansas.

Joyce was born with cerebral palsy, she was very determined to try everything she could. Joyce rode a tricycle and her mom let her drive the car. After her father passed away her and her mother lived together in Burlington. She enjoyed attending church, riding her scooter, going to the grocery store, playing Bingo, Canasta, and 4-Corners and all the wonderful activities at Hope Springs.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents and her sister.

Graveside service will be Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. MT at the Goodland Cemetery, North Main Street, Goodland. Memorials will be designated to Hope Springs and may be left at the service or sent in care of Bateman Funeral Home, PO Box 278, Goodland, Kansas 67735.
