Patricia Ann (Greenstreet) Melton

Patricia Ann (Greenstreet) Melton, Age 70, of Goodland passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Center in Goodland, KS.

Patty was born August 1, 1947, in Colorado Springs, Colorado to James W. and Violet L. (Wilson) Greenstreet.  She was one of three children.  She grew up and attended school in Simla, Colorado and graduated from Simla High School in 1965.  Patty attended Colorado State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Consumer Science.

On August 2, 1974 she married Dale A. Melton in Goodland.  They had one child Ann Marie Melton.

Patty enjoyed her 30 years of working at Goodland USD 352, some of her most rewarding years were working with the Special Education Department.  She enjoyed gardening, helping with 4-H and many other fair activities, crafting and camping with her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Violet and Jim; brother, Roy; her constant and faithful fur kid, Pheobe; and grand cat, Meow.

She is survived by her husband, Dale of the home; daughter, Anne, her 3 grand dogs and 2 grand cats of Syracuse, KS; brother Donnie (Cheryl) Greenstreet of Monte Vista, CO; nephew, Cory Greenstreet of Denver, CO; nephew, Daylon (Jasmin) Greenstreet of Aurora, CO; Niece, Donnelle (Mark) Boso of Hawesville, KY; aunts and uncles; great nieces; great nephew and many cousins.

Funeral service will be Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. MT at Harvest Evangelical Free Church, 521 East Highway 24, Goodland, KS.  Interment following the service at the Brewster Cemetery, Brewster, KS.  Visitation will be Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m. MT at Bateman Funeral Home, 211 East 11th Street in Goodland.  Memorials may be designated to the Patty Melton Memorial Scholarship Fund and may be left at the services or mailed to Bateman Funeral Home, P.O.
