Peggy "Joyce" (Long) Daniels

Lifelong resident of Goodland, Peggy Joyce Daniels, age 90, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at Goodland Regional Medical Center.

Joyce was born January 25, 1931 to Harry M. and Dora Dell (Carter) Long in Goodland.  She grew up and went to school in Goodland and graduated from Sherman County High School in 1949.  On July 30, 1950 Joyce married James L. Daniels.  Joyce enjoyed raising her four children and their families, keeping abreast of their lives and activities.  She worked at the Goodland Greenhouse doing floral design and owner of Pleasures & Treasures for 10 years, teaching knitting, quilting and needle crafts.  Through the years she did many clothing alterations and sewing for others.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Tillis; and sister, Joan.

Joyce is survived by her husband, James; daughter, Lynn (Rob) Jacobs of Wichita, KS; sons, David (Judy) of Goodland and Jeff (Judi) of Overland Park, KS; 7 grandchildren and 19 greatgrandchildren; and many more families and friends.
