Anni Frieda (Schneider) Kernal

Anni Frieda (Schneider) Kernal flew away to the heavens on December 29, 2019.  Anni was born on September 12, 1932 in the Hessen State, Bad Hersfeld, Germany to her Mother Elise Schneider and Father Heinrich Schneider.  She grew in Germany and moved to the United States in 1963 after marrying her then spouse Harley Kernal.  

While in Germany, she excelled in her academics and obtained a German diploma in the Sciences.  Germany was her forever home in her heart.  She often told tales about her joyous life that was spent in her native land.  Anni was immensely proud of her German heritage and had an unwavering adoration for all-things German, including the music and the food.  She also loved to travel and spent her youth traversing across Europe.  She loved to read books, laugh, converse, spend quality time with her family, watch baseball and feed the squirrels that frequented her lawn in her free time.  

Anni possessed an immense amount of strength that carried her throughout her entire life from beginning to end.  She worked very hard and was so fiercely determined to achieve her goals.  Anni was a giver with a big pure heart.  She dedicated her life to being of service to others.  She radiated humility, positivity, love and joy everywhere she went. Anni’s love was boundless.  She loved those close to her unconditionally and had a strong devotion to her family.  Anni embodied grace and elegance and was beautiful inside and out.  She is so very loved and will be forever missed by many. She will live forever deeply in our hearts and memories.  

Anni Frieda (Schneider) Kernal was preceded in death by her mother Elise Schneider, her father Heinrich Schneider of Bad Hersfeld, Germany; sisters: Hannelore Zilch, Lina Hild, Gutrud Beck, and brother: Wilhelm Schneider of Bad Hersfeld, Germany; children: Elke Kernal, Patricia Zimmerman, Sonja Kernal, and Ronald Kernal of Goodland, Kansas.  

She is survived by her brother Gunter Schneider of Bad Hersfeld, Germany; children: Donald Kernal of Goodland, Kansas, Juergen Kernal and spouse Jody Kernal of Goodland, Kansas, Harley Kernal and spouse Quinn Kernal of Lakewood, California, Patrick Kernal of Colby, Kansas and Cindy Kernal of Moline, Illinois; grandchildren: Sasha Zimmerman and Krista Zimmerman, RN, BSN, of San Diego, California, Jonah Zimmerman of Phoenix, Arizona, Elke Kernal and Easton Kernal of Goodland, Kansas, Hannah Kernal and Sarah Kernal of Lakewood, California, Louis Gomez and Jonathan Gomez of Moline, Illinois; great grandchildren: Berlin Hughes of San Diego, California, Thomas Zimmerman of Phoenix, Arizona , Alexa Gomez and Aaliyah Gomez of Moline, Illinois.
