Joyce E. (Dallas) Sanderson

Joyce E. Sanderson, age 75, of Goodland passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020.  Joyce was born on December 13, 1944 to John and Vera (Kennedy) Dallas in Edson, Kansas. 

Joyce grew up in Edson and Goodland.  She attended elementary school in Edson and graduated from Sherman County High School in 1962.  She married Donald E. (Jack) Sanderson on November 3, 1962 in Goodland.  To this union three children, Kenneth, Kevin and Kristie. 

Joyce and Jack owned and operated Clawson Electric Auto Supply in Goodland until 2006.  Joyce also worked at the City of Goodland for 15 years.  She was a selfless, kind woman, mother, friend, coworker, and grandma.  She lived a full and abundant life.  She always had a smile on her face, and eager to help anyone with anything.   She blessed the lives of those that she touched.  Joyce was a member of the First Christian Church of Goodland.  She spent many years and excelled at National Bowling tournaments, a lifelong sister in Sigma Beta Phi Sorority.  She was an avid swimmer and diver, enjoyed going to casinos, motorcycle riding, flowers and gardening and enjoyed Bingo. 

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents and grandparents; and sisters, Mary Leoffler and Joan Dallas. 

Joyce is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Tami) Sanderson and Kevin (Jenifer) Sanderson of Goodland; daughter, Kristie (Joran Jensen) of Kansas City, MO; sisters, Irene Wise of Denver, CO and Shirley (Larry Dean) Wise of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Spencer Baumert, Hannah, Blake, Heath, Taylor Sanderson; and many more family and friends.
